First and foremost, I am passionate about motor sport .I think that this speaks for itself in the work that I do. I have a large collection of photographs that I have either taken myself at various race venues around the world, or have been forwarded onto me by fellow racing enthusiasts, which I plan to share with the aid of this journal. I have been the website manager for Motor Sport News© for several years, and have tried to keep the racing world, as well as fans updated on all the latest news from different events. I have spent time on both sides of the catch fence, as a race car driver, for several years, as well as being a chief fire marshal at Kyalami International race circuit, Aldo Scribante Race circuit, (Post Chief) and race event organizer. I was part of a championship winning team for many years, going through the karting ranks as a young boy, and then progressing through the years until I eventually ended up owning my own racing team.

My other passion is travel, and I have been to most countries around the world, working as a sky marshal, as well as traveling in my personal capacity. I now find myself based in Thailand, after spending several years traveling around Asia. Sadly, Thailand is lacking in motor sport venues, although I have had the pleasure of traveling to Malaysia for the F1 GP, and next year will be attending the first ever F1 night races in Singapore, and event that I am thrilled about, but yet skeptical at the same time.

My spare time is spent running a design business, that specializes in yacht and concept car design for the “rich” foreigners who pass through or decide to live in Thailand. I also find the time to play a range of racing games that keep me on my toes, and keep my reflexes toned, just in case there is that rare opportunity of being able to go hurtling around the race track again. With this also comes the satisfaction of creating renders of the hundreds of competitive racing cars, that are raced each week end around the world.

It gives me great pleasure in recreating models of these high caliber cars, as well as some new designs, and racing scenes. A lot of time is spent modeling and “skinning” the cars to be perfect replicas of their track going originals. So suffice to say, I’m not happy until a good job has been done, and the “car” has been rendered perfectly. Several of the models, of course, have been created by other artists, or come from some of my favorite racing games, and have been “skinned” accordingly.

I am currently working on a project, after hearing the news that Aston Martin is launching a new one-make race series for Asia. Called the Aston Martin Asia Cup (AMAC), the series starts in 2008 and will consist of 12 races throughout the Asia Pacific region including China, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.

Each race will feature a grid of 18 Aston Martin Vantage N24s, the 4.3L race-developed evolution of the V8 Vantage which has already competed in similar stints in Europe and the Middle East. The V8 engine produces 410hp (305kW) and the car’s total kerb weight is just 1350kg.

Besides being a true Alfisti, owning several road going Alfa GTV 6’s, and racing two of them, I have been an avid fan of Aston Martin. Hence, the news of the planned series gave me a good reason to recreate something different than all the GT versions of the DB9.
